“枫叶杯”英语演讲比赛及主持人招募

    一、 活动目的:

    为了提升学生学习英语的兴趣,创设校园英语氛围,提高英语的综合应用

    力,为学生搭建一个锻炼自我、展示自我、挑战自我的平台,特此举办本

    校内演讲赛,同时也面向全高中招募中英主持人各一名。

    二、比赛时间:

       2017年9月26日 16:00(星期二)- 初赛

       2017年10月18日 18:30(星期三)- 决赛

    三、比赛地点:英语中心教室(初赛)/ 报告厅(决赛)

    四、参赛对象:面向全体高中学生,有意者报名参赛

    五、参赛细则:

        1. 演讲内容:主题自拟,要求有深度新意。

        2. 时间:3分钟以内。

        3. 形式:3分钟演讲(初赛)

                3分钟演讲 + 1分钟即兴问答 (决赛)

                需要幻灯片的参赛者提前准备好幻灯片,初赛前交予评委

    4.演讲报名:9月15日下午放学前将演讲题目,指导老师,学生信息交至领事老师处。

    5. 主持人报名:有意者准备好1分钟左右的自我陈述并于9月11日至15日期间下午放学后与509办公室进行面试。

    六、评奖

    各组分别评出一等奖1名、二等奖2名、三等奖3名,指导教师获相应的

    指导教师奖。

    Maple Leaf Cup Annual Speech Contest & Host Recruitment

    Speech contests are a Maple Leaf tradition. Each year participants compete in speech and Q&A sessions. Competition begins with homeroom promotion and sign-ups, contestants continue competing through the grade and school level.

    This year contestants should sign up with their counselors by the 15th of September and present a three-minute speech on any topics they choose in the afternoon of the 26th of September ESL classrooms on the fifth floor. It is recommended that each contestant find either one homeroom teacher, counselor, ESL teacher or BC teacher as his or her language coach. Contestants advancing to the next level will compete across the grades by delivering their speeches and answering questions chosen by the judges on the finale night on the 18th of October in the Auditorium.

    The recruitment of the hosts for this event is open for all the students in the high school program. Interviews are arranged between the 11th to the 15th of September in Office 509 after 3:30.

    Arrangements

    Registration Requirement: Students must register with counselors.

    Speech topics and coach names should be submitted at the same time.

    Registration Deadline: September 15th, 2017, Friday

    Judge Panel: BC Teachers will serve on the judge panel.

    Judging Criteria: Contestants will be judged on contents, volume, organization and body language.

    Prize: Three levels award winners accounting for 15-20% of all participants in the same grade group.
