磨砺自我，破茧成蝶—— 记我的ESL英语教学中心的学习生活

Hello, I'm Wu Yutong from Grade10 Zhou Enlai Class of Maple Leaf International School, Chongqing, but I will soon become a Grade11 student in our school. This summer holiday, I was honored to be admitted to Grade11 Zhou Enlai Class, which can also be regarded as the completion of a small stage goal.

大家好，我是来自高一周班的吴雨桐，不过很快就要进入高二周恩来班啦！在这个暑假我很荣幸收到了高二周恩来班录取通知书，这也算完成了我一个阶段性小目标。

Today, I am here to share with you the most important and useful learning experience in Maple Leaf. I came to Maple Leaf in the spring of 2021, when I entered the Pre-10 class in ESL Program. I firmly believe everyone in Pre-10 class knows that it is an opportunity as well as a process of honing and exercising oneself in the ESL Program.

今天我在这里给大家分享一下我在枫叶最重要也是最有用的一段学习经历。在2021年的春天，我来到重庆枫叶国际高中，进入了ESL英语教学中心课程的高一预备班。我相信高一预备班的每个同学都知道，这是一个在ESL英语教学中心磨炼与锻炼自己的机会也是必经的过程。

Now I'd like to talk about the help I got from each teacher in the courses in ESL Program. First of all, it is the Math and Science and World Study by Ms Pi. Her courses help us adapt to the high school curriculum in advance, which enables us to be ahead of other students in high school learning. Next is Ms. Vivi’s Language Arts course. Her course is quite useful in consolidating our basic knowledge and expanding our vocabulary. In addition to knowledge and learning skills, there are teaching related games in her class to enrich classroom activities and better improve our English ability.

下面我来说说在ESL英语教学中心的每个老师的课程给我提供的帮助和我的感受。首先是教授我们数学科学和世界研究课程的Ms.Pi的课。她的课程帮助我们提前适应高中课程，并且给予我们更多时间去理解高中课程，帮助我们在学习上，能够赢在起跑线上。接下来是我们语言艺术课程的Vivi老师，她的课程帮助我们巩固基础知识，以及拓展单词量。除了深入浅出的知识的讲解和技能的培养，在她的课上还会有教学相关的小游戏来帮助我们丰富课堂活动以及更好的提升英语能力。

There is another course called Study Skills and PE, which integrates many learning skills, sports vocabulary and sports time. That is Vivian's course. I remember very clearly that we always complained that the study life in Pre-10 was boring and monotonous. But as far as I am concerned, I can always recall the happy moments in study. It may be the jokes told or the experience shared by the teachers or moments when we solve problems in the group together in class. Now, to my great content, I still have many close friends from the Pre-10 class.

在我上课时，Vivi老师教授的学习技巧和体育这门课，更是融汇了许多学习技巧、体育词汇、以及体育运动。我记得非常清楚，我们当时总是抱怨预备班的学习生活枯燥且单一，但是现在回想起来总有许多开心的事情穿插其中，可能是老师与我们讲的笑话，讲的经历，又或是我们预备班的小伙伴一起在课堂上在小组内解决问题的情形。现如今，我和预备班的好多小伙伴依然是关系最好的。
